Sitting loftily on top of the historic Shanghai Art Museum, this restaurant boasts a view and a menu of creative global cuisine to match. The glass covered atrium and spacious outdoor terrace allow eager diners to sunbathe while indulging in the chef’s cosmopolitan creations followed by the K5 tasting dessert plate. “Kathleen's 5 is an absolutely fantastic restaurant! Located on the 5th floor of the Shanghai Art Museum, the view is splendid, the most diverse and refreshing view than anything else I've seen in Shanghai. The food was the perfect temperature, texture, and taste. The service was also quick and efficient. We came back for happy hour one night (which is from 5:30-8:30) and the drinks were also very well-made. The backroom lounge is a great spot to relax and enjoy with friends or a significant other. They've also begun to offer free salsa lessons Wedneday and Saturday nights at 8 PM! As further added bonuses, they have free wi-fi internet and free parking after 5. After dinner we walked around People's Square and had a wonderful time. I've been searching a long time for such a high quality restaurant and I am excited to say that I have finally found one. So overall, excellent food, excellent service, excellent location, excellent view! What more could you ask for? I highly recommend it!”
