This old-fashioned restaurant specializes in homestyle Shanghainese and Suzhou dishes. A visit here is like stepping into a pastoral of rural Chinese life--the restaurant is filled with huge urns of rice wine in one corner, hanging braids of hanging pepper and corn and antique wooden furniture. Everyone should go here once, if only for the surreal experience of eating these simple but well-executed dishes "farmer's dishes".
