Nanjing Xi Lu District
Open 11am-2pm, 5pm-9pm
No_photo This oldie but goodie (open since 1938) keeps old Shanghai alive amid the trendy obsession with modernism. Meals are served in a traditional Chinese dining room outfitted with mahogany and marble furniture and beautiful wooden artwork. Chefs here have mastered both Sichuan and Shanghai dishes and boldly fused the two together with delightful results. Try the Sichuan duck and deep fried eel.
